Pearls - Symbols of prosperity in times of darkness
My ‘Pearls’ collection of paintings are in keeping with my ‘Visitation’ series and are delicate representations of grief. Each teardrop is like a weighted pearl on the fragile petals and reflective of heightened emotions and memories that now feel heavy and overwhelming. It is a release of all the jumble of emotions that only losing a loved one can bring. But the life of a flower is full of hope and beauty which continues to bloom despite heavy rains.
