starlit sirens
The Story...
Inspired by the poetic phrase, Between The Sea And The Stars, I wanted to create a whimsical repeat pattern featuring sirens guided by cosmic lights and stars.
Within the design, sirens swim amongst star bubbles surrounded by flying fish and ocean flora. They are celestial star-crossed turquoise sea nymphs in an eternal cosmic ocean.

Illustration Process...
Every single element in this design was made using my own hand drawn and painted images in acrylic paints.
I love to use painterly textures to achieve the affect of wearing an artwork itself and that you can see each individual brush stroke. This way the design keeps it's unique artistic style and feels personal and intricate.
Manufacture...
Once the final artwork is completed, the design is available in a range of different products on Spoonflower, here on my website or in my Etsy shop.
Products include fabric, wallpaper, scarves and various home decor such as cushions and blankets.
